I was horrified when I saw the Gypsy/ Traveller site (in Mill Lane, Charlton Kings) on the land use map associated with the Town Plan, with no mention of the fact that it has permission as a TEMPORARY site only. I attended the Planning Committee Meeting on 20th April 2017, and the general opinion was sympathetic to --, and they extended her temporary permission for a further 5 years, with a distinct provision that a COUNCIL Gypsy/Traveller site should be fount to comply with Government guide lin

From a purely personal and local attitude to the proposals of the Town Plan, I am extremely concerned that the private Gypsy site in Mill Lane, Charlton Kings is shown on the development map as a proposed traveller site, implying that it would be a permanent site for unnamed traveller families. I would make the following observations with regard to the plan to make permanent the travellers site on Mill Lane. This site was bought by a gentleman and his wife/partner? with the sole intention of breeding gipsy ponies Within a year the gentleman had left the site with another woman. Who now owns it ? There has been no ponies on this site for the last 2/3 years . The only things horse like are four stone horse heads mounted on a structure outside the fencing which I assume is common land.

Policy GT1: From the text it can be gathered that, in the absence of other sites despite its current conditioned location in the AONB, it would be very handy to designate the Castle Dream Stud as the one gypsy and traveller site required to fulfil the requirements of the Cheltenham Plan, with that one further pitch required by 2031. Site History and Questions for the Future It sounds as though the Borough will give full permission for the site. How would this be organised, knowing the history
