I am writing with some observations with regard to the West Cheltenham Local Green Space (LGS) designation in the emerging Cheltenham Plan. In our opinion there is a patent lack of evidence to support the entirety of the suggested LGS but our primary aim here is to remove our client's land from the allocation and ideally the land surrounding it as part of the 'southern leg'. My wife has already responded to you regarding Local Green Spaces and the reluctance to protect the green corridor that separates the A40 and Campden and Miserden Roads. People in theses roads and the adjacent area feel very strongly about this green space. There are many houses in Cheltenham that suffer close association to the A40 - a major through route - one that carries significant heavy traffic. The traffic pollution is, consequently, significant too. Green spaces are there for a reason

As part of the Cheltenham Plan Pre-Submission consultation, I would like to comment firstly to object to the inclusion of 'land off Oakhurst Rise' as a site for residential development under policy H1, ref HD4.
